Palm Oil's Killer Branding

Palm Oil's Killer Branding

After undergoing a recent guilt fuelled rethink of my dairy and meat vices (Bali, you have a lot to answer for), I have been finding for more ways to make life more eco friendly. After very little digging, I came across  palm oil. There is plenty to read about it, mostly how it reaches in to a rain forest and flattens habitats for plantations. Bad vibes indeed.

Thankfully there are plenty of resources out there that explain the bad, the really bad and the ugly bad, and how you can begin to avoid using it. Now, I am not intending to convert anybody here, only inform, so if you're too attached to your jalapeno Cheetos or Oreos (the ambiguous celestial being in the sky knows I am) then the below link will make for tricky reading. If not, take a look and see just how many of our favourite brands and products use this stuff. Also, you'll find some sustainable alternatives and useful insight from the knowledgeable bloggers at Travel For Difference.
