There seems to be a trend in most towns and cities that have a fair few tourists passing through; the 'so bad it's good' museum. Stone Town, on the paradise island of Zanzibar, is apparently a fully signed up member of this category with one pretty special House of Wonders...

'we met a British couple that told us we needed to visit the House of Wonders during our stay in Stone Town. They also warned us that it was a special place because of how un-special it really was'
